This is Scott Tanner Thomas, my nephew. Very cute right? Would it shock you to know that he wasn't born on July 1st? He was born on, gasp, June 30th! There was a lot of controversy surrounding his birth. Some in the family, well just me, thought he should have been born on July 1st. My sister disagreed with me and Kevin just doesn't care because he's going to have a son anyway. I will now present my findings on why July 1st is more awesome than June 30th. Here is the list of so-called famous people who were born on June 30.
June 30th
Michael Phelps - the winner of 8 gold medals from 2010 Olympic but been partying too much lately
Fantasia Barrino - won the American Idol in the 3rd or 4th season, she acted as herself on a lifetime movie about her. No awards nomination...
Mike Tyson - the boxer who eat ears for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and midnight snack
July 1st
Liv Tyler - a elf who gave up her immortality to be with Aragon
Dan Aykroyd - one of the original Ghostbusters and possibly the sole owner of the company considering it was he who bought the firehouse and that rad 1959 Cadillac Miller Metor.
Alan Ruck - the Abe Foreman's, the sausage king of Chicago, "best-friend" who have been used just for the Ferrari
Pamela Anderson - eh, I'm not sure she's a good role model for Scott...
William Wyler - the director of Ben-hur aka a four hours long movie that won 11 Oscars. I just realized Gone with Winds and Return of the King (both won 11 Oscars a piece) are at least 3 hours long. Kind of interesting?
Princess Diana - Whoa, the contest is over. A royalty birthday!
Harold Sakata - scratch that, this man is a automatic win on why July 1st is the most awesomeness birthday. The one and only, Odd Job, the best henchman 007 ever face
It easy to see that July 1st has more famous people. However, I want to branch out and make sure it 2 for 2. Let see which day has more famous events happening.
June 30th
1950 - President Truman authorized ground and air strike against North Korea. We all know how that turn out.
1953 - First Chevrolet Corvette is produced. It was the first plastic-laminated fiberglass sports car whatever that mean.

July 1st
1731 - the first library was organized by Benjamin Franklin, thus creating a false sense of entitlement that everything should be free even if they are the 20th person on the waiting list
1847 - First postage stamps to go on sale in US. A weird hobby soon follow
1862 - the IRS was born, creating a new fear among the people. Currently, it 348th on the list of most intense phobia right behind Rhabdophobia, the fear of magic
1863 - the Battle of Gettysburg begin
1874 - the first Zoo was open in Philadelphia, allowing moms a brief escape from the endless reruns of pixar films

Enough said.
To be fair, July 1st is also a bad day for death as host of famous people mysteriously drop to the ground or manage to give a very wise thought just before they draw their last breath. Here is the comparison.
